JEDI STIMULATE TEAMS TO BE MORE CREATIVE, DARING AND THOUGHT-PROVOKING.
JEDI

A Jedi is an expert or specialist at the Hackathon and is the supporting force for teams. Teams blast off in space for their Odyssey during the Hackathon; the Jedi are their Houston, providing support in all dimensions and help on their journey.

Jedi come in various forms; technical (blockchain, artificial intelligence, IoT, robotics and more), legal, business, data science, ethics, storytelling, ecosystem building, cryptography, decentralization, tokenization, regulation, government policy, product development, investing, etc.

More than 300 Jedi contribute to the success of the hackathon by guiding the teams around (and sometimes even through) obstacles. Jedi work closely with the teams and encourage collaboration between them (instead of competition).

YOUR SPECIAL ROLE

You will make it happen. Without your insights and persistence, the teams will not break that crucial loop to truly reach #nextlevel. Jedi impact the co-creation of new solution prototypes on the cutting-edge of the ecosystem and technical innovation. While at it, they also connect with fellow knowledge-carrying Jedi from various disciplines, which results in a unique experience that builds a collaborative space for mass adoption.

BECOMING A JEDI

Odyssey personally invites Jedi to create the most diverse group of skills, expertise, and previous hackathon experience. As Jedi is an invite-only role, it is not possible to apply for it.

MEET THE JEDI AT ODYSSEY CONNECT

At Odyssey Connect, February 4-5, we invite everyone to learn about the 21 challenges for the 2020 Hackathon as well as to meet the Jedi. A chance to connect with them before the hackathon to learn and prepare together.
